Collaboration requires communication

Innovation team collaboration: a 3-legged stool and a bunch of glue.

Remember from last post: the following 3 elements are critical to successful innovation teams: shared strategic vision, unique and complementary skills, and shared rewards.

Funny idea is a stool from IKEA called the kollaborashun. Maybe that’s a terrible joke.

The glue holding this stool together is continuous, respective communication. I fully agree. It is nearly impossible to over-communicate.

There are better resources than this book for communication best practices. The most important take-away in this book is to acknowledge that yet another expert in innovation and product development has endorsed communication as the critical element that holds teamwork and collaboration together.
